Randall "Randy" Norris Fussell

Randall "Randy" Norris Fussell,73, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, died on Friday, August 7, 2026. Randy lived life with a dynamic energy, a devotion to his family, and an unmatched spirit of generosity. He was a hard worker, a natural host, and always the first to offer a helping hand. A graduate of Broadmoor High School who attended Louisiana Tech, Randy launched his career in the industrial refractory industry, advancing rapidly from field construction to Operations Manager. He later established his own enterprise specializing in industrial roofing and insulation systems. Following Hurricane Katrina, Randy’s company spent years working nonstop to restore the heavily damaged roofing infrastructure at Ingalls Shipyard. Following this chapter, he transitioned into a busy "retirement" by establishing a thriving rental property business. Early in his career while in Jackson, Mississippi, Randy met Jenny—the love of his life, his best friend, and his steady anchor. Randy and Jenny built a dedicated life together and raised two children, Christopher and Katie. Randy was immensely proud of his family, and his five grandchildren were his ultimate source of joy. He loved the Lord and together with Jenny raised his family in the church and most recently attended River Community Church in Prairieville. Despite facing significant health challenges that began in midlife, Randy met every obstacle with extraordinary fortitude. He continued working and supporting his family while enduring hardships with a warm, optimistic disposition, shielding those around him from his pain. Randy was exceptionally generous with both his time and resources. Whenever he saw a need, he stepped in immediately to help—whether for an old friend or a complete stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Kathryn Fussell. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian “Jenny” Fussell; children, Regina (Frank) Kathryn Fussell Rebel and Christopher (Lisa) Norris Fussell; grandchildren, Ryan Rebel, Hannah Rebel, Frankie Rebel, Victoria Fussell, and Lucas Fussell; and siblings, Laura (Frank) Baragona, Douglas (Stacey) Fussell, Jim Fussell, Mark (Kris) Fussell. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory East, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815, on August 11, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Service will follow at 7:00 pm.
