Raphaël was a renowned artist who made his mark as a trend setter in teaching methods and artistic practices. As the director of an orphanage and a coach to many underprivileged and delinquent children, he gave them purpose and a sense of self. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, students, friends, and all of those whose lives he touched with his generosity, innovativeness and love of life.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care. Special thanks to the Cummings Centre for Seniors for their devotion and support. The family is deeply grateful to the entire staff at Manoir Westmount and Maimonides for their kindness, dedication, and compassionate care.
