TREMONT ~ Rebecca Sue Lusher, 73, of Tremont, passed away at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Born November 12, 1952 in Bloomington to Hershel G. Johnson and Elizabeth “Pat” A. Small, she married Lindel Mark Lusher on July 5, 1980, in Tremont. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jennifer Vaugh of Englewood, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Christian Earhart and Sebastian Hyde and one sister, Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Edward Franz and her brother, Frank Johnson.
Rebecca worked for General Electric in Bloomington for a few years before going to work at Podiatry Arts Lab in Pekin for several years.
She enjoyed fiber art, weaving, knitting and sewing.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
