Richard Clark Stullenburger passed on August 20, 2026, at the age of 95, having been born on March 9, 1931, in Dillonvale, Ohio.Richard (Dick) Stullenburger moved to Merritt Island, FL in 1955 after serving in the USAF to join his parents Harold (Stoney) T. Stullenburger and Mary Stullenburger in the running of Stoney’s Union 76 Service Station that was opened in 1952 by his father, after he spent 36 years working in the Ohio coal mines.Richard and his parents were soon joined by his brother James (Jim) Stullenburger after his USAF service. Together they ran the Merritt Island establishment for the next 34 years. Richard then moved on to the Walmart on Merritt Island until his retirement.Richard was always ready to share memories and stories that had been created through those 34 years of friends made and helping families that may have needed assistance. Richard and his family were always there for everyone. Richard spent his retirement years making sure his wife Louise of 60 years was taken care of as well as his family, friends and neighbors. He spent many hours maintaining his lawn and shrubs, I guess you could say that was his pastime.Richard was so proud to be called Pawpaw and Great Pawpaw and was ready at any moment to share pictures, stories and updates on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.Richard is survived by his son Harold W. Stullenburger (Kim) in Kissimmee, FL. Stepdaughters Pat Monk (Danny); and Carol Touchton (Mike). Richard also has 2 granddaughters; Madison Spencer (Will) in Clearwater, FL and Taylor Stullenburger in Sanford, FL. as well as two great grandchildren; Claire and Calvin Spencer and many nieces, nephews and extended family.He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Louise, brothers Harold J. (Stoney) Stullenburger, James (Jim) Stullenburger and his sister Maxine McFarland.Richard was blessed with so many friends and neighbors that helped watch over him and his wife and family throughout his 70+ years on Merritt Island and to all of them we are forever grateful.
