Richard H Manning

Richard H. Manning, 78, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Born on February 27, 1948, in Covington, Kentucky, Rich was the son of the late Clarence and Viola (Rache) Manning. Rich was a graduate of Campbell County High School and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, where he worked in Intelligence. Following his military service, he attended Miami University and Eastern Kentucky University, earning a Ph.D. in American History. Rich dedicated 26 years to Western Southern Life Insurance, where he served as a manager before retiring in 2016. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Marie Manning; his children, Jenniffer Young, Jeff (Erica) Manning, Cari (Bobby) Frazier, and Scott (Ashlee) Medley; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tim Sheets. Military honors will be presented before the service.
