Richard passed away after a brief illness in Phoenix, AZ.Richard was born in Lompoc, CA on June 16, 1948, to Harold Anthony Legge and Lois Irene (Smith) Legge. He spent his school years in Wichita, Ks. After graduating from Andover High School, he joined the Navy and became a Corpsman, He married Karen (Kelly) in 1973 and graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Microbiology. They lived in Denver, CO and then moved to Phoenix, AZ.Richard is survived by wife, Karen (Kelly), and daughter Julie Melotte (Nick) and granddaughter Lillian Melotte. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Legge.
