Obituary
On May 14, 2026, at the age of 91 years and 6 months, Mme Rita Tremblay, wife of Mr. Donald Boivin, residing in Chicoutimi, passed away at CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Madame Yvonne Tremblay and the late Monsieur Benny Tremblay.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chicoutimi Funeral Complex - Chapel. Her ashes will be interred at St-François-Xavier Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Donald Boivin, her children Jules Boivin (Louise Gagné), André, Mona (Bernard Métivier), Johanne, Marc (Sylvie Lachance), and Pierre (Chantale Tremblay). Her grandchildren include Cédrick Boivin, Sandra Boivin, Alexandre Boivin, Sébastien Métivier, Jonathan Métivier, Véronique Boivin-Bouchard, Stéphanie Boivin-Bouchard, Jonathan Gaudreault, Nicolas Boivin, and Noémie Boivin.
She was the sister of the late Gonzague Tremblay (Yolande Lemieux), Gaston, Charlotte, Marcelle (Idola Bolduc), Rosaire (Raymonde Boily), Jules, Gaétane (Jean-Paul Gagnon), Monique (Jean-Claude Lebel), Roger, and Danielle.
She was also the sister-in-law of the late Gérard Boivin (Claire Gauthier), Germaine (Jean-Charles Duchesne), Joseph-Henri (Colette Tremblay), Graziella (Raymond Gauthier), Marie-Claire (Lucien Harvey), Bernard (Charlotte Gravel), Fleurette (Albert Jean), Huguette (Gilles Tremblay), Guy (Georgianna Bilodeau), and Laurent (deceased).
She leaves many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
