Obituary

Robert Duchesne, born in 1946, passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 79 years and 11 months. He left a legacy in Jonquière and was the son of the late Regina Ratté and Émile Duchesne.

He was survived by his children Sonia Duchesne (Luc Fortin), David, and Nathalie (Andrew Leclerc); his grandchildren Christopher Fortin (Alysson Sergerie), Coralie, Vincent Duchesne, Samira Bouchard (Marcel Gauthier), and Maëly Bouchard; and his great-grandchildren Maëva Fortin and Florence Fortin.

Robert was the brother of the late Rosaline Duchesne, Cyrille, Annette, Marie, Jean, Lucienne, and Marguerite. He also leaves many nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Résidence funéraire St-Ambroise, located at 560, rue Simard, St-Ambroise, QC G7P 2T1, Canada. The cremation was entrusted to the Alliance funéraire du Royaume, and his ashes will be buried at the St-Ambroise cemetery.

A memorial homage will take place on May 23, 2026, at 4 PM at the same funeral residence.

Robert's family appreciates expressions of sympathy, and donations to Cancer Saguenay are encouraged. A volunteer from Cancer Saguenay will be present at the chapel to collect donations.

He was a beloved figure who will be missed profoundly.
