Robert was born October 5, 1946 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Louis & Mary(Hoddinott) Casper. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy, Class of 1965. A proud Vietnam Veteran, Robert served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. During his service at Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand, he met and married the love of his life; his wife, his best friend & life partner of 57 years.
Robert worked as a Public Accountant with his good friend/bonus brother, Jeff Timler, from 1976 until his retirement in 2012. He loved golf, hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed the many years and trips to Canada with his brother and friends, Ross Jaeckle & Mike Vogel.
He was a member and treasurer of the Knights of Columbus, lifetime member of the VFW, member of American Legion & Disabled American Veterans. Robert was a very proud member of the Ubon Vets and attended their national reunions and was also involved with the Arizona Chapter of Ubon Vets and their monthly gatherings and luncheons. Robert was also an active member and volunteer with the Sunland Village East (SVE) Veterans Club. He really treasured his relationships with his fellow veteran Brothers & Sisters.
