Biography:

Roch Lavoie, aged 76 years and 11 months, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Nicole Bluteau and the son of the late Jacqueline Gagné and Paul Lavoie. Roch was a father to Hugues Lavoie (Chantal Laurin) and Paul Lavoie (Jacinthe Polento), and a grandfather to Charles Lavoie (Sarina L. Francis), Flore Lavoie, and Blanche Lavoie. He is survived by siblings Richard Lavoie (Martine Tremblay), Alain (Céline Martel), the late Marc (Christine Larouche), Mario (Nathalie Girard), Daniel (Sandra Bilodeau), and Josée. Roch was also the brother-in-law of Gertrude Bluteau (the late Edgar Paré), and other family members. The family commemorated his life with a funeral service at Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi, chapel. Roch was remembered as a warm, generous, and deeply human person who left a significant mark on the lives of many.
