Roland Romeo Guay, 82, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026.Born on January 6, 1944, in Champlain, New York, Roland grew up in Troy, New York, and graduated from Troy High School in 1962. He was a proud member of the school’s Tri‑County League Soccer Championship teams of 1959–60 and 1960–61, an accomplishment he carried with him throughout his life.A United States Navy veteran, Roland served his country with honor during the Cuban Crisis, a period that shaped his lifelong respect for service and duty.Roland retired from Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A., in West Palm Beach, where he was admired for his dedication, professionalism, and steady presence. Before joining the firm, he was employed at The PGA of America in Palm Beach Gardens. He was a 51-year Charter Member of Brunswick Elks Lodge #2556 in Brunswick, New York. He was also a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) since 1987. For ten years, Roland volunteered countless hours with both the Juno Beach Police Department and the Jupiter Police Department, giving back to the community he loved.Roland embraced life with humor, energy, and heart. He could outdance everyone in the room at the company holiday parties, earning from his wife the affectionate title of “Disco King.” He loved to cook, and his spaghetti sauce became legendary among family and friends — which he always shared as generously as he lived. A talented woodworker, he could build a workbench in a single day. As an avid car buff, he enjoyed attending car shows with family and friends, talking shop with anyone who shared his passion. His annual Christmas light display was a neighborhood favorite, always bright, always spectacular.For more than 40 years, Roland cherished vacations at St. Pete Beach, diving for sand dollars and watching sunsets that he never tired of. These memories remain deeply treasured by all who shared them with him.Roland’s legacy of service, kindness, humor, and craftsmanship will live on in everyone who knew and loved him.He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Marguerite LaRoche and Romeo Pierre Guay, and his sister Doris (Guay) Reimiller.He leaves behind his loving wife, Priscilla, and their blended family of children: Kara Cruz (Jorge), Dena Bigwarfe (Darrin), Michael Guay (Noelle). Stepchildren: Sharon Furiato (Michael), Gregg LaRoche (Jennifer), Mark LaRoche (Melissa).Grandchildren: Tanner Bigwarfe (Cassandra), Chloe Graham (Connor). Step‑grandchildren: Adam Cruz, Jonathan Cruz, Connor Furiato, Dillon Furiato, Toby LaRoche, Tyler LaRoche (Taylor), Tanner LaRoche. Great‑grandchildren: Owen and Caroline Bigwarfe.He is also survived by his sister, Rachel (Guay) Davis, along with numerous nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 1 pm, Howard Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL.An interment service will be held at a later date at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Christian Church “Come to the Table Ministry,” which provides Saturday morning breakfast to the homeless in Sebring, Florida.
