Ronald “Rocky” Truman, 61, passed away on September 26, 2026. Born October 30, 1964, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Rocky later made his home in Alabama.
Rocky devoted 32 years of service to the Deaf community, a commitment that reflected his passion for helping people. He worked for Alabama School for the Deaf supporting Deaf Youth and spent the majority of his career serving as a Deaf Support Specialist for Alabama Department of Rehab Services.
Rocky will be remembered for his love of an ice cold beer, his ability to pull off legendary pranks, his devotion to his daughter, his penchant for food of any kind, and his loyalty to his friends.
He was always the life of the party, a jack of all trades, and quite possibly the biggest Auburn fan there ever was.
Rocky is survived by his daughter, Lilli Truman, stepmother, Geraldine Truman, his brothers Rick Vickery and Bobby Truman (Barbara), his sister, Debbie Truman, his stepbrother, Leroy, and stepsister Lisa. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Truman, his mother, Bonifay Williams Truman, and his sister Connie Truman.
The memorial service will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga on October 4th, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm, the service at 2:30pm, and fellowship to follow at Pizza and Pint in Sylacauga at 3:30pm.
