Ronald Ray Green, age 78, of Agency, Iowa, passed on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at VA Central Hospital in Des Moines. Ray was born December 28, 1947, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and was a lifelong drummer who played with bands including Flashback. He was also a dedicated auto mechanic and over-the-road truck driver.
He was married to Barbara Lynn Modisett for 35 years until her passing in 2022. Ray loved music and his family, and he cherished the memories he made with loved ones.
He is survived by his son, Nathan Green, and other family members. Memorials are directed to HERO, supporting veterans helping veterans, in his memory.
