Samuel Lyle Cooke

Samuel Lyle Cooke, age 20, was born May 13, 2006, in Hildale, Utah, to Afton Johnson and Marvin Roy Cooke and passed away September 27, 2026, in Milliken, Colorado. Samuel’s life, though far too brief, will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude by those who knew and loved him.

He graduated from Roosevelt High School in May 2024. His smile and laughter were contagious. He carried an easy, genuine light that drew people in, making even ordinary moments feel warmer, brighter, and more hopeful.

Samuel is survived by his parents, Afton Johnson and Marvin Roy Cooke; his siblings, Sharon L. Cooke, Fredrick J. Cooke, Elizabeth Cooke, Ephraim W. Cooke, and Warren E. Cooke; and his two nieces, Aria Jaelyn Jessop and Reyna Lynn Jessop. He is also survived by several stepsiblings and many other family members and loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Allnutt Funeral & Cremation - Macy, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634, on October 9, 2026, at 10:00 am. A Celebration Of Life will follow at the same location on October 9, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Johnstown Cemetery, 23101 County Rd 13, Johnstown, CO 80534, on October 9, 2026, at 1:00 pm. A Luncheon will be held at Parish Park, 11 Raymond Pl, Johnstown, CO, on October 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
