Scott B. Piché

Scott B. Piché, 52, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2026, following a motorcycle accident on the way to work. Scott was the beloved husband of Barbie Piché (Baptista), with whom he shared 13 years of pure unadulterated true love and faithful udder devotion. They were each other’s best friends, and undeniable soulmates. Scott and Barbie enjoyed cruising on both land and sea. They loved riding their Harleys together along the backroads of New England.

Born in New Bedford, Scotty was the son of the late Roger William Piché, Jr. He was a lifelong area resident and worked as a machinist at DePuy Johnson & Johnson in Raynham.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mackenzie Piché White and her spouse, Mathew; Cameron Piché; Brooke Kent; and Daddy to Zachary Leconte; his mother, Rosemary Piché (Ricky Baptista) his siblings, Caroline DeWolfe( Paul), Jessica Piché, and Roger Piché; seven grandchildren; In-laws Marianne Baptista, Robby Baptista(Anne), Wyatt Baptista (Dawn), and the late Jesse Baptista (Sylvia), the Puddy Jacks, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Scott had a deep love for life and the people around him. His children were his world. He loved being a dad. He was a devoted friend to many and especially his best friend Joseph Ferreira and his wife, Natalie. He was passionate about golf and always striving to be better. He will be missed by his golfing buddies, especially his close and best golfing partner, Dave Paiva - champs here and his good friend Joseph Oliveira.

In his free time, Scott enjoyed listening to country music, cooking, and gambling occasionally at area casinos with his dear sister-in-law Marianne - you guys. He also enjoyed spending time at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den enjoying live music and the comedy shows. PPAC and shows at the Z. He treasured all the enjoyable times spent at The Town Crier especially during football season rooting for his beloved Dallas Cowboys with their favorite bartender and family friend Wendy. He loved Gumbos and cherished how the waitresses always remembered his chicken and gravy. He was known for his strong personal convictions and passions. Scott was an avid firearms enthusiast and an avid art collector and took great pride in what he valued most.

Scott was a true patriot who took tremendous pride in his Country, his President and the American Flag.
