Beloved brother of the late Simon Braitman and brother-in-law of Josephine Braitman and the late Sam Dickstein.
He will be deeply missed by his many cousins and friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Dori Shiff for her kindness and compassion and to his caregivers Krizzy Augustin, Alvin Avenir and Mark Zamora for the unparalleled care and compassion you have shown Sidney for the past number of years. You are true angels whose love and devotion to him will never be forgotten. A very special thank you to Amy Katz for her friendship and devotion for his well being.
Sidney was a Holocaust survivor who dedicated the later part off his life to educating the young on the horrors he went through as a child. His presence for years on the March of the living was to provide hope to Jewish youth so as to never ever forget. His hopes for a brighter world energized him every time he spoke to the young and old from all walks of life. A stanch Zionist his whole life , whose love for Israel guided his life and the upbringing of his children, his grandchildren, and anyone lucky enough to enter his orbit.
Rest in peace daddy, Mommy and Irwin have waited a long time for this reunion. We will miss you.
