Socorro Rodriguez Rivas

August 31, 2026 Pike River, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Socorro Rodriguez Rivas, 99, was born on July 5, 1927, in La Palma, Michoacan, Mexico, and passed away on August 31, 2026. She will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Socorro was married Salvador Rivas for 83 years, a testament to a life marked by steadfast devotion and faithful love. Her presence carried a quiet strength—patient, gentle, and thoughtful in the ways that mattered most—offering comfort through simple acts of care and a selfless attention to others.

A kind-hearted and compassionate spirit, Socorro made daily life feel warmer and more welcoming. She was known as the best cook ever, and her home was welcome to all—an open door and an open heart that made family, friends, and visitors alike feel cherished. She loved gardening, loved the sun on her back, and found joy in the ordinary moments that become, in time, the most meaningful.

Socorro also loved to tell stories, play tea parties, and collect photos—small treasures that reflected her attentive nature and her desire to hold close the people and memories she valued. In these traditions, she offered inspiration without fanfare, teaching by example what it means to live with grace, generosity, and enduring unconditional love.

Socorro is survived by her loving four granddaughters Maribel Rivas, Adriana Rivas, Lilia Rivas and Socorro Majano. She leaves behind 11 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Socorro resided in Pico Rivera, California. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the warmth she extended, and the gentle, faithful way she moved through the world—beloved, cherished, and forever remembered.
