Sonny Fetzer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sonny Fetzer, on August 4 2026, at the age of 71.

Sonny is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Jacynthe Lavoie Fetzer; his three daughters, Judith Fetzer, Sylvie Bourdon (Yannick), and Julie Bourdon (Adam); and his cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Samuel, Antoine, Emma, Zachary, Loïc, and Liam, who will forever carry his love and memory in their hearts.

He is also survived by his sister, Marion Fetzer (late Gregor); his brother, Gerd Fetzer (Sandra); his nephew, Jared Fetzer; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Lavoie family, the late François (Ginette), Michel (Nicole), Jean (Lucie), and Marcel; as well as his many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Sonny lived life with boundless curiosity and an unwavering sense of possibility. He was always dreaming, planning his next adventure, and pursuing new passions with enthusiasm. A proud Freemason & Shriner, he found great purpose in the principles of brotherhood and service. His passions truly drove his life – motorcycles, music, soccer, and karate. He also enjoyed staying connected with family and friends through Facebook, where he enthusiastically shared his thoughts, stories, and the moments that brought him joy. His optimism, generous spirit, and zest for life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Sonny’s life will be held on Sunday, September 13, beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of his life at 12:30 p.m, at the St-Rémi Community Hall (Salle Saturne, 25, rue Saint-Sauveur, Saint-Rémi, QC J0L 2L0). Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring his life and sharing memories of a man who touched so many.

A Masonic service organized by the Grand Lodge will also be held on Saturday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Club de l’âge d’or de Grande-Anse (61, avenue de la Tourbe, Grande-Anse, NB).
