Stavroula "Voula" Mezines

May 23, 2026 Dignity Memorial

Stavroula “Voula” Mezines, 79, went to rest with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She peacefully passed with her close and extended family by her side.

Voula was born in Limni, Evia, Greece in 1947. She first migrated to Toronto Canada in 1967 where she met and married her loving late husband, Anastasios “Tom” Mezines. In 1974 they moved to Seminole Florida where they owned and operated the Widow Brown’s restaurant in Largo for 25 years.

Voula was a member of St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox church where she volunteered and was loved by her community. She enjoyed baking koulourakia, cooking her famous Greek dishes (pastichio and moussaka) and going for long walks in her neighborhood. But most of all, Voula loved spending time with her family.

She was a loving mother to her daughters; Katerina (Louie) Kokkinakos, Christina (George) Klimis, Anastasia (Amando) Almadanali and Constatena (Mihalis) Lagoudakis. A beloved Yiayia to 10 grandchildren whom she cherished dearly; Peter (Shea), Tommy, Dino, Sia, Chris, Taso, Angelo, Costa, Kosta, and Dimitra. And a devoted sister to her siblings; Paulina (Panagiotis) Afentakis, Yianni (Eleni) Ganogiannis, Margarita (David) Koreli, Stamatoula (Vageli) Papasoteriou, and late siblings; Taso (Maria) and Angelis (Nina) Ganogiannis along with many nieces and nephews.

Voula instilled great love and strength into her family, which we will forever embrace.
