Obituary of Thérèse Pedneault
On May 16, 2026, at the age of 86 years and 11 months, Mme Thérèse Pedneault, wife of the late M. Rock Fortin and subsequent wife of M. André Potvin, residing in Falardeau, passed away at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Madame Rolande Barrette and the late Monsieur Gabriel Pedneault.
Her family will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Complexe funéraire Rive-Nord (Sainte-Claire), Chapelle Rive-Nord. A celebration of the Word will take place on the same day at 3 PM at the same location — dedicated to the crematorium of the Alliance funéraire du Royaume with her ashes deposited at the Emery-Gravel columbarium.
She leaves her family including her children Lise Fortin (Mario Lebreux), Michèle Fortin (Stéphane Lalancette), Dany Fortin (Dany Bergeron), the children of her husband Carl Potvin (Héléna Simard), Karine Potvin (Guy Degrace), her grandchildren Maxime, Tania, Gabriel (deceased), Marc-Alexandre, Carol-Ann, Marilyn, Christina, Sabrina, Alexandra, and Lisa. She was the sister of Denis Pedneault (Francine Bouchard), Jean Pedneault, André Pedneault, Claire Pedneault (Guy Simon), Yvettes Pedneault, Micheline Pedneault, and Monique Pedneault. She also leaves numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
For those wishing to offer donations, a volunteer from the Alzheimer Society Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean will be present at the salon to collect them. Donations can also be made online via the secure website here.
