Vani Chavez

Vani Chavez, 88, born December 9, 1937, in El Salvador, passed away on April 25, 2026. She was a beloved and cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her, remembered with deep respect and enduring affection.

Vani was married for 33 years to Oscar Chavez, who preceded her in death. In the life they built together, her devotion showed in steady, everyday ways—through care freely given, a gentle spirit, and a compassion that made others feel seen and comforted. Even in difficult seasons, she carried herself with resilience and quiet wisdom, offering strength without fanfare and guidance without judgment.

Vani is survived by her daughters, Gualdhaloupe Duffy and Linda Varon; her sons, Oscar Chavez, Roman Angulo, and Roberto Angulo; her son in laws, Patrick Duffy and John Varon; her daughter in law, Kattya de Angulo; and 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild.

Though she resided in Cutler Bay, Florida, the reach of her love and the steadiness of her example extended far beyond any one place. Vani will be remembered for the tenderness she offered, the laughter she sparked, the strength she modeled, and the devoted way she cared for her family—leaving a legacy that remains, quietly and powerfully, in the lives she touched.
