Vivian Elsie Sanchez

June 7, 2026 Brome, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Vivian Elsie Sanchez, born March 29, 1929 in Ribera, New Mexico, a longtime resident of Boone, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at the remarkable age of 97.

Vivian’s life was a beautiful song, quite literally—she had a lifelong passion for dancing, listening to Spanish music, and could almost always be heard singing along to her favorite tunes. In her younger years, she embraced the hard work and simple joys of ranch life, finding happiness in riding horses, milking cows and goats, and tending to the chickens.

As the matriarch of her family, Vivian’s home was the heart of every gathering. She was an incredible cook, famous for her exceptional beans, chili, and homemade tortillas—which were always enjoyed by her family just as fast as she could make them.

Beyond her kitchen, Vivian’s true wealth was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her absolute world, and she could never seem to get enough of their company. A woman of profound faith, Vivian was a devout churchgoer who walked through life with a gentle, prayerful spirit that anchored her family.
