William Hunter Lumsden Jr. was called to heaven on March 26th peacefully at home. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, family member, and friend — and above all, simply “a good guy.” He loved his family deeply and lived his life with generosity and unwavering love.
Hunter was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, attended NC State University with honors, and built a successful business, Penn Davis Coatings. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and relaxing on his beach porch.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Nesbitt Lumsden, brother Joseph “Joe” Lumsden, and four daughters Dita, Greta, Melissa, and Meghan, along with seven grandchildren.
