Zelma Marie (Warlick) Smith

Zelma Warlick Smith, 94, of Vale, passed away on September 11, 2026, at Frye Regional Medical Center.She was born on July 7, 1932, to the late Jene Watson Warlick and Beulah Lynn Seagle Warlick in Catawba County. Zelma was a member of Macedonia Pentecostal Holliness Church.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Eugene Smith, sister; Helen Warlick Smith and brother, Ralph Warlick.Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Patricia “Pat” Smith Weaver and husband Steve of Vale, Nancy Smith Icard of Newton, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Macedonia Pentecostal Holliness Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45-2:45 p.m. at the church. Rev. Terry Adams and Rev. William Kanupp will officiate the service.
