Born in Montréal on April 10, 1958, the daughter of actress Françoise Faucher and director Jean Faucher, Sophie Faucher first stepped on stage at the age of eight. She trained at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal, graduating in 1978, and made her television debut that same year in Le Clan Beaulieu.
A versatile performer, she moved from comedy to drama and became a familiar voice in Québec dubbing. She is best known for her role as Crystale Bouvier-Montgomery in Le cœur a ses raisons and for narrating the French version of Caillou.
