Alma E Flynn

Alma Ethel Flynn, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. She was born on June 23, 1930, in Carlisle, Arkansas, to Homer and Ruby Pfeiffer.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruby Pfeiffer; her beloved husband, William A. Flynn, sister in law Pat Pfeiffer and her granddaughter, Kayla Flynn.

She is survived by her brothers Odell and Neil Pfeiffer(Caralee), sons, Bill Flynn (Renee), Harold Flynn(Rita) and daughter, Joanne Shipman(Charlie). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Katie Frederick (Phil), Megan Thomas, Morgan Flynn (Kelsey), Austin Flynn (Janna), Lauren Boyter (Jesse), Christopher Shipman (Nicole), Meredith Arthur, Nick Shipman (Robin), and Caroline Vassberg (Tate).

Alma was the proud great-grandmother of Samantha, Jake, Whitney (Zack), Tayler, Emersyn, Ethan, Evie, Eric, Paxton, Jase, Abigail, Jayden, Mackenzie, Jackson, Rex, and Maggie, all of whom brought her great joy.

Throughout her career, Alma was known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic. She served for many years as a bookkeeper for River Oaks Country Club and later as office manager for Harry Rice Inc. Even in retirement, she remained active and engaged, managing the Holly Shop at her retirement community.

A woman of deep faith, Alma was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years. Her kindness, generosity, and commitment to serving others touched countless lives.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the administration, nurses, and support staff of Holly Hall Retirement Community for the exceptional care, compassion, and friendship they provided to Alma throughout the twenty years she was a resident.

Alma will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, her warm spirit, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she cherished.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
