Ana Mirtala Aguilar de Bermudez, 82, was born on April 24, 1944, in Usulutan, El Salvador, and passed away on July 3, 2026. She lived in Houston, Texas.

Born to Carlota Aguilar and Manuel Melara, Ana carried forward a life shaped by steadfast faith, quiet strength, and a tireless work ethic. Through the years, her resilience showed itself not in grand declarations, but in the steady way she met life’s demands and cared for those entrusted to her. A devout catholic, she held close the practices and convictions that guided her days and offered comfort to her family.

Ana married Adrian Bermudez, and together they had ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Sonia Jovel, Blanca Bermudez, Ana Bermudez, Juan Jose Bermudez, Aracely Bermudez, Yesenia Bermudez, Maria Elena Bermudez, Adrian Bermudez, Jose David Bermudez, Marisela Bermudez; her sisters Berta Aguilar, Coralia Aguilar, Hilda Aguilar, Isabel Aguilar; her brothers Efrain Aguilar, Mauro Aguilar, Elias Aguilar, Jorge Aguilar; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In the rhythms of everyday life, Ana found joy in listening to worship music and in being surrounded by family. She especially treasured time with her grandchildren, sharing with them memories and stories of her life in El Salvador—an enduring link between generations, and a testament to the life she built with perseverance and love.

Committal services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, US, on July 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
