Annette Marie Shuffler

Annette Marie (Tafelski) Shuffler, 74, was born on October 25, 1951, in Houston, TX, and passed away on August 11, 2026.

Annette was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Shuffler; her son, Brett Shuffler; and her beloved granddaughter, Presley Fuentes. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Maddie, who was a treasured companion and an important part of her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roby Shuffler; her parents, Billy and Natalie Tafelski; and her sister, Linda Podraza Goodman.

Annette had a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures in life especially great food, good conversation, laughter, and time spent with the people she loved. She had a wonderful ability to create memories and leave people with a funny story to tell. Her sense of humor, warmth, and generous spirit brought joy to those around her.

For many years, Annette worked at Anderson Academy in Aldine ISD, where she formed meaningful and lasting relationships with her colleagues. The friendships she developed throughout her years there remained important to her, and she treasured the people who became such a special part of her life.

Annette was extremely generous and always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. During the later part of her life, she selflessly dedicated herself and her resources to helping the homeless.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, the friendships she nurtured, and the many lives touched.
