Cecelia "Augustene" Augustine (Acord) Brown

Cecelia Augustine “Augustene” Acord Brown, 88, of Wildwood, FL, Beckley, WV, Spruce Pine, NC and Oceana, WV, died peacefully on May 25, 2026, at her home by the lake in Northeast Georgia.She was born on February 5th, 1938, in Glen Morrison, WV. to William R. and Athleen May Walker Acord.She was married to the love of her life, James O. “Jim” Brown for 63 years, until he passed in January 2022. She was the mother of two sons. James William “Jimmy” Brown, deceased, of Spruce Pine, NC and Robert Shannon “Bob” Brown of Cleveland, GA.Cecelia attended High School at Oceana, WV. She spent most of her days being a loving and caring mother and wife. She was loved dearly by her family. She worked at Brad Ragan Tire in Spruce Pine, NC. and was office manager for the late Dr Harvey Pratt Carter in Leesburg, Fl. She was very active at the Adamsville Baptist Church in Adamsville, Fl. up until she left Florida in early 2020.
