Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grand-father, Glendon Wesley Foster passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, in Gatineau, Quebec, at the age of 91. Born on September 9, 1934, in New Liskeard, Ontario, Glen lived a life rich with purpose, adventure, and deep love for family.
After studying at the Haileybury School of Mines, Glen moved to Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, where he built a distinguished career in mining engineering and earned the respect of colleagues and peers. He was a man who felt most himself outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting or just enjoying his cottage every summer with his family on Lake Kanasuta. In retirement, Glen would spend most of his winters with Françoise at their Tri-Par Estate home in Sarasota, Florida, where the beach or a round of golf were always enjoyable pastimes with the many friends they made. Glen would say that he liked Florida (no maintenance!).
Glen will be remembered as a steady and devoted presence by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, his patience, and his quiet humour were constants throughout his long and well-lived life.
He leaves behind those who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward with gratitude and affection.
