It is with broken hearts that the family of Jonathan Journeau announce his sudden passing on Friday, September 4th following an emergency surgical intervention at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Quebec City.

Jonathan came into this world on July 14th, 1971. From an early age his easy smile, big heart, ready laugh and willingness to always help those in need left an indelible impact on the people he met. Never one to complain, he faced the many health challenges he was dealt later in life with an unwavering resilience and a positive outlook that served as an inspiration to the people who knew him.

Jonathan was predeceased by his brother Christopher in May of 2022 and his father Cyrus in June of 2023.

Jonathan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Nadine, his mother Iva, his sister Tania Lee (Richard), his nephews Jhordan and Timothy, his great nephew and niece Sunny and Sara-Iva, his uncle Robert (Colleen), his aunt Katie as well as numerous cousins and many, many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in New Carlise on Saturday, September 19th at 3pm. Visitation at the church will commence at 1pm. The burial service will immediately follow at the St. James Anglican cemetery in Port Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the name of Jonathan to the St. James Anglican Church in Port Daniel.

Professional services have been entrusted to the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home Inc., a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des Thanatologues du Québec and by the Bureau de Normalisation du Québec.

The management and staff of HG Division offer their deepest condolences to the family and thank them for their trust.
