José Carreiro Da Luz, aged 82, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Repentigny. He was survived by his wife Maria De Lourdes Vieira Cabral, children Venilde Da Luz (Antonio Sebastiao), Michael Da Luz (Sandra Sebastiao), Kelly Da Luz (Francisco Sebastiao), grandchildren Joe Anthony, Kristien, Cassandra, and many others. The family honored him at Magnus Poirier funeral complex in Montreal, with funeral services held at Santa Cruz church and burial at Le Repos St-François d'Assise cemetery.
