Juan Antonio Cardenas

April 26, 2026 Austin, Quebec Dignity Memorial

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of Juan “Slim” Antonio Cardenas, 62, of Humble, Texas, on April 26, 2026.

Juan was born in Brownsville, Texas on June 13, 1963, to Carlos R. Cardenas and Irene J. Cardenas. He married Guadalupe Rodriguez, on April 17, 1997 in Houston, Texas, where together they built a loving and beautiful family.

He was welcomed in passing by his mother, Irene J. Cardenas; his brother, Raul “Roy” Cardenas; his uncles, Juan and Jimmy; and his close friends, Big Dawg and Lalo, along with many other cherished family members and friends who have also departed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lupe Cardenas; his four children, Juan Antonio, Juan Carlos, Alicia Ann, and Alicia Marie; his six loving grandchildren, Larissa, Alyssa, Carlos, Madelyn, Anthony, and Gianna Cardenas; and his additional “mijas,” Danielle, Christina, and Grecia. He is also lovingly remembered by his father, Carlos R. Cardenas, and his siblings, Carlos, Anita, and Lupita. All will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

We will forever hold close every memory, every laugh, and the beautiful bond you shared with us. In the whisper of the breeze, we feel your spirit. In the warmth of the sun, we sense your light.

In blooming flowers, falling rain, the sound of birds chirping, and the gentle flutter of butterflies — God reminds us that you are near.

Though our hearts ache with missing you, we rest in the peace of knowing your body is restored, your spirit is whole, and you now dwell in the presence of the Lord, reunited with the loved ones who welcomed you home.

Always remembered, forever carried in our hearts, resting safely with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — until the day we meet again, and even in the quiet places of our dreams.

Forever loved, forever missed — continue to watch over us from the peace your spirit now knows.
