Kirk Foster Hedrick

Kirk Foster Hedrick, 24, of Houston, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Kirk was born May 3, 2002, and raised in Houston, Texas, by Heidi and Tom Hedrick. He graduated from Xavier Academy in Houston, Texas, and was a passionate entrepreneur. Kirk loved technology and was actively pursuing a Computer Science degree at Lone Star Community College. He was exceptionally skilled with computers, software, 3D printing, designing T-shirts and gaming tokens and website development. He loved making music beats. Aside from his professional roles in operations and customer service at Nordic Valley Ski Resort, Lone Star Strategies, and Banana Republic, Kirk served the Lord through mission work at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Family Legacy/Camp Life in Zambia, Africa, and through which he supported a child, William, now 18 since William was in the second grade. Kirk was known for his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to connect with people.

Above all, Kirk cared deeply for others. He was a bright, kind-hearted young man whose gentle spirit and genuine care left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether helping a friend, supporting his family, or simply offering a listening ear, Kirk consistently put other people before himself. He had a special gift with children, who were naturally drawn to him. Kirk was always patient, playful, and attentive; his warmth, humor, and brilliant talent made him a touchstone for others.

Kirk will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he brightened. Kirk is survived by his parents, Heidi and Tom Hedrick, and his younger brother, Matthew, all of Houston, as well as his grandmother, Sharon Kirkpatrick, his aunt and uncle, Bridgette and Toby Fuhrman, and cousins, Stephen and Sutton; his aunt and uncle, Katy and Jeff Smith, and cousins, Victoria, Eleanor and her husband Will, and Jacqueline; plus his aunts and uncles on the Hedrick side; Ken and Regina Hedrick and cousin, Jonathan; Tracey and Russ Hedrick and cousin, Shelby; Mike and Debbie Hedrick, and cousins, Alex Hedrick and his family, Chris Hedrick; Claire and Joel Douthit and their family plus many more friends and extended family.

Kirk’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his gentle spirit, deep compassion and kindness.
