Mme Léonie Peeters, aged 84, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the Centre palliatifs de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, surrounded by her children. She resided in Henryville. Lefor details, she was the wife of feu René Walaszczyk.
She leaves in mourning her children Hélène (Mario Lavoie), Daniel (Marie-Jeanne Mesot), Chantal (Daniel Beauregard), and Pascal (Pascale Forcier). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Lydia, Yolande, Marina, Monique, and Suzanne (Fredo), along with many other family members and friends.
The visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturday, August 15, from 9:30 AM at the funeral home Desourdy inc, 124 rue St-Georges, Henryville, QC J0J 1E0, with the funeral service held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Église St-Georges in Henryville, followed by burial at the local cemetery.
