Lisa Porzungolo Pappas

Lisa P. Pappas, 67, of 18 Bullet Hill Rd., Danbury, CT, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at her home after long battle with breast cancer.Lisa was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Sam and Mary Porzungolo, and grew up in Mill Basin, NY and was the oldest child of a family of five children. After receiving her associates degree, began her career in the brokerage industry, where she worked for over 20 years.Lisa met and married her husband, Chris, and eventually settled in Danbury, CT. She left the workforce 2000 to raise her two children, Jake and Alison. When the children were old enough, she returned to work as an administrative assistant in the Danbury school system and retired in 2024.She is survived by her husband, Chris, and two children, Jake and Alison, and Alison’s husband Ryan.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, August 24, 2026, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.Friends will be received from 1:00pm - 4:00pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
