In loving memory of Mary Jeanette-Tollett Adair (Mermie), aged 80, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Born in Galveston, Texas, on September 26, 1945, she lived a life defined by sincere kindness, patience, and an unwavering love for everyone she met. Her brilliant and memorable smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1963. Throughout her dynamic and accomplished career, she excelled across multiple industries, including telecommunications with Southwestern Bell, event planning for Harris County at Houston’s iconic Astrodome, the audio/visual sector with AVW, and the home building industry with Kimball Hill Homes.

A devout Catholic, Mary balanced her professional success with a vibrant personal life. She was an avid outdoorswoman who loved to hunt, play golf, and pursue numerous other hobbies that kept her active and connected to nature.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Almeda Tollett and Horace James Tollett; her brothers, Robert (Bob) J. Tollett, Lee J. Tollett, and Gerard (Jordy) J. Tollett; and her beloved son, Christopher R. Adair.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, David L. Adair III; her loving children, Ron A. Allbritton, Troy D. Allbritton, John Adair, and Laura Zeig; as well as 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend like no other.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Forest Park Lawndale Chapel of Angels, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the Lone Star Parkinson's Society, 614 C South Business IH-35, PMB 51, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
