Rose Lee Chatman

Born to Albert and Leola Telsee, she lived a life centered on family, love, and the generations she helped nurture.She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mannie Blate Jr.; her second husband, Robert Chatman; and her siblings, Olama Butler, Albert Telsee Jr., Vivian Brown, and Mag Johnson.From her union with Mannie Blate Jr., she was blessed with six children. She leaves to cherish her memory: Robert and his wife, Edna; Leon and his wife, Dorthy; Alice; Linda and her husband, Joseph; Mannie Blate III and his wife, Monica; and Carolyn and her husband, Antonio.Her legacy will continue through her 15 grandchildren and her host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Harris; her bonus daughter, Peggy Fulton; and many other relatives and loved ones who will forever treasure her memory.Viewing will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on July 31, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Graveside Service will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on July 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
