The family of Madam Simone Cormier announces her passing. She was 91 years old and lived in Cap-aux-Meules, originally from Havre-Aubert, Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
She was the wife of the late Arthur Leblanc, mother of Johanne (Yvon), Lilianne, Josette (Paul), Jocelyne (Denis), Ghislain, Guy (Guylaine), and Pascal (Nathalie). She had five grandchildren: Éric (Laura), Marie Gil (Vincent), Philip, Beatrice, Fabrice, and three great-grandchildren: Alice, Julia, and Lou. She was sister to Elmyre, and the late Émilie and Léo-Paul.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Philomène, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home in Cap-aux-Meules on Friday, August 14, 2026, from noon. The funeral will follow at 4:00 PM at the Notre-Dame du Rosaire de Fatima church, with interment at the local cemetery.
