Susan B. Sawyer “Nanny”, age 74, passed away at her home in Metairie, Louisiana, on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Doris Boyd; her sister, Paula Boyd McCreary; and her brother, Paul Edwin Boyd, Jr.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Chris Sawyer; her daughter, Kori Sawyer (Jacob Snyder); her four grandchildren, Ryan, Logan, Kodi, and Kolbi Snyder; her niece and two nephews, Kristen Lindsey (Dallas Stratton), Jonathan McCreary (Jennifer LeDuke), and Adam McCreary (Lauren); and her three great nieces and great nephew, Taylor Lindsey, Kaiya McCreary, Harper Stratton, and Brooks McCreary. She is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Lake Lawn Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.
