Born on December 31, 1941, in Shiro, Texas, Sylvester lived a life rooted in family, faith, and community. He was a man of strength, dedication, and compassion, known for his unwavering love, generosity, and commitment to those he held dear.
Throughout his life, Sylvester touched the lives of many through his kindness, wisdom, hard work, and quiet resilience. He created a lasting legacy not only through the life he lived, but through the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the countless memories he created with family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to live on through the stories shared, the values he instilled, and the love that will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Survived by: His daughters, Ysidra Huichapa, Mary Suarez, and Evelyn Torres; his sons, Sylvester Torres Jr., Eddie Torres, and Joel H. Torres; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
