William Paul Balandis

William Paul Balandis,(aka "Bill") born on April 11, 1944, in Houston, Texas, lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, faith, and family. He graduated from Sam Houston High School before earning an Associate's Degree from San Jacinto College.William began his career as the youngest interior designer at Houston's historic Suniland Furniture Store, where he became known for his creativity and eye for design. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him to become the owner and proprietor of Balandis Chemical Co., LLC, where he developed and marketed Gem Rust Killer.A man of deep faith, William was a devoted member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Houston, where he worshipped for many years and remained active in his church community.On January 31, 1981, William married the love of his life, Bernadine Balandis, in Birmingham, Alabama. Together they shared more than 45 years of marriage, creating a lifetime of love, devotion, and treasured memories.William was proud to serve his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 60 years. He also had a passion for automobiles and enjoyed being a member of the Ford Auto Club – Shelby Cobra Club, where he shared his appreciation for classic performance vehicles with fellow enthusiasts.He is survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Bernadine Balandis; his sister, Dorothy Balandis of Dallas, Texas; his brother, James Balandis of Houston, Texas; and his niece, Gina Tombrello of Dallas, Texas.William was preceded in death by his father, A. J. Balandis; his mother, Geneieve Balandis (née Benkowski); and his nephew, Charles Tombrello of Dallas, Texas.William Paul Balandis will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, steadfast faith, and unwavering love for his family. His kindness, generosity, and the example he set through a life of integrity will remain an enduring legacy for all who had the privilege of knowing him.William felt most at home where the sky meets the blue sea and happiest when the wind fills the sails of his sailboat. When someone sets sail people traditionally say " fair winds," "safe journey," and"Bon Voyage." So we bid you "Bon Voyage," Bill, we love and miss you forever.
