Alma Lois (Wax) Curtis

Mrs. Alma Lois (Wax) Curtis left this earth for her heavenly home on September 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Alma was born on March 12, 1949, in Corbin, Kentucky. She moved to Mobile when she was 25, and has been a resident ever since. Alma worked for Wells Fargo as a personal banker and retired in 2017. She was a member of Bethel Church in Irvington and joined CUMC in later years, where she remained a member until her death.

Alma loved singing and playing the piano, studying the bible, gardening, and spending time with friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her grandson Brandon Williams and bonus daughter Maxine Dockens, along with many, many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dale Curtis.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Alma will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
