André Duchesne, born in 1951, passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 75. He was the husband of Mme Danielle Lavoie, and father of Véronique Duchesne and Sébastien Duchesne (Julie Fillion). He leaves behind grandchildren Lorry Tremblay, Zack Tremblay, Maélie Duchesne, Malik Duchesne, and Romy Duchesne. André was the brother of Jacquelin Duchesne, Ginette, Lise, Nicole, Richard, Monique, and Mario. He was also the brother-in-law of Jean-Baptiste Lavoie, Paul-Etienne, Diane, and Gilles, and a beloved uncle, nephew, and friend.
He died at the Chicoutimi Hospital, and a celebration of the Word took place on July 18, 2026, at the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi, followed by multiple funeral rituals including a visitation and a funeral service at the Chapel Chicoutimi. His family wishes to thank the staff of the ambulance service and intensive care at the Chicoutimi Hospital for their support and care. A donation to Cancer Saguenay was proposed in his memory.
