Chanda Kay Williams

22 septembre 2026 Dignity Memorial

Chanda Kay Williams, 77, was born in Nampa, Idaho and was the eldest daughter of John and Naomi (Carter) Williams. She was a sister, friend, playmate and doting aunt.

She was an excellent student and graduated from C.L. McLane High School in Fresno, California where she earned a Merit Scholarship. Chanda went on to attend Northwest Nazarene College and obtained her BA in Elementary Education. Following college, she worked over 20 years at California State University, Fresno as a librarian.

As a child at camp one summer, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized in Payette Lake in Idaho. She became an accomplished pianist and played the piano in numerous church services. She also continued to play at home for the enjoyment of her family, friends and neighbors.

Chanda had a generous spirit and found pleasure in entertaining and "treating" her seven nieces and nephews when they came for a visit.

She was an avid reader and spent her time reading her Bible and other books, coloring, working SUDUKO puzzles and gazing out her front living room window. Her favorite season was Winter as she always enjoyed the cold versus the heat.

Her sisters, Susie Platteter, Bonnie Fridenmaker and Ramona Jundt along with their families will miss her but cherish the memories of laughter and times spent together.
