Concha Leyva

Concha "Connie" Leyva, 83, passed away on September 26, 2026. Born on May 14, 1943, Concha brought a steady light to those around her—one that felt most present in the everyday moments where love is lived and shared. She lived in Avondale, Arizona, and her life will be remembered with gratitude, affection, and the kind of joy that continues to echo through family stories and familiar routines.

Concha’s days were often made happiest by simple pleasures: settling in with a favorite TV show, showing up for an aerobics class, or taking her time wandering around the mall. In these ordinary rhythms, she found room for laughter, connection, and a spirit that kept moving forward—an uplifting example of how life can be celebrated in the small, bright details.

Concha is survived by her husband, Tony Leyva; her children Ronnie(Isabel) Leyva, Danny Ray Leyva, Sherry(Paul) Riojas, and Ricky Leyva; 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; as well as her brothers Danny and Roberto Rubalcaba.

Visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, on October 13, 2026, at 10:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow at West Resthaven Funeral Home at 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will take place at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, US, on October 13, 2026, at 12:30 pm.

Though Concha is deeply missed, the love she nurtured remains—carried forward by her husband, her children, and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren who are part of her living legacy. Her memory invites all who knew her to keep finding joy where it’s always been: in togetherness, in routine, and in the simple gift of another day.

She now rests in the loving arms of the Lord, reunited with her son, Tony Jr.; her parents, Maria and Angel; her four sisters, Mercy, Anita, Rosa, and Eva; and her brother, Angel.
