Daniel Asselin passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 90. He was a resident of Chicoutimi. He was the son of the late Pauline Therrien and the late Wilbrod Asselin.
He was survived by his friends, family, and many relatives. A funeral service was held, and his ashes were deposited in the columbarium at the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi.
He leaves behind his dear friend Céline Fortin, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many relatives. He was brother to Noëlla Asselin, Monique, Gilles, Paul-Etienne, Lise, Jocelyne, Rémi, Yvan, and Victoire, among others.
In his memory, donations were encouraged to the Fondation de ma Vie.
