David Alan Harper

David Alan Harper, age 87, passed away on September 26, 2026 with his son by his side.

Born to the late Uel Harper and Eva Pedigo Harper, David is also preceded in death by his wife, Carleen Harper; his step-son Kevin; his brother Duane Harper; and his nephew Steve.

Here to carry on his memory is his beloved son, Tom Harper; his step-children, Doug Clemons and Cathy Clemons; his niece Cynthia Hendel; and a host of extended family and friends.

David proudly served in the U.S. Army. He went on to graduate from Western Kentucky University. David went on to work his way up at Kentucky Fried Chicken through his financial career.

David was introduced to square dancing by his wife, Carleen. He continued square dancing with the many friends he made.

A memorial service in David's honor will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218.
