Dona Lee Carter, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Dona is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Ucal Thrower; brother, Ben Elliott; sisters, Pearl Martin and Ruth Gambrell; son, Bill Gibson.
Dona is survived by her children, Donald Gibson, Richard Carter III (Annamarie); Dona is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Becky Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home, 2219 2nd Ave North, Pell City, AL 35125 on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM.
