Germain Otis passed away at his home at the age of 84 years and 7 months on June 2, 2026. He was the husband of Mrs. Nicole Brassard, widower of the late Mrs. Pierrette Munger, and also of first marriages of the late Mrs. Thérèse Aubin, residing in Laterrière. He was the son of the late Mrs. Laurette Blackburn and the late Mr. Paul-Étienne Otis.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Laterrière Funeral Residence.

He has been entrusted to the crematorium of the Funeral Alliance of the Kingdom, and his ashes will be interred at the Arvida Cemetery (Jonquière) at a later date.

In addition to his wife Mrs. Brassard, he leaves to mourn his chosen family: Edith Gauthier (Laurent), Brigitte (Harold), Lynda (Mario), Mauril (Julie), Guylaine Pedneault (Robin), Marlène, Dany (Esther); his beloved grandchildren: Marie-Claude, Carole-Anne, Joanie, Jérôme, Mireille, Guillaume, Kassandra, Samuel, Carol Ann, Sarah Pier, Kéven, Léanne, Justin, Zachary, and Émilia; his numerous great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of: Laurent Otis (deceased Roselyne Brassard), Ghyslain, Yvon (Rita Lapierre), Sylvie (Pierre Laflamme), and Louise (Louvain Bergeron).

He was the brother-in-law of the families: Aubin, Munger, and Brassard.

He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces, relatives, and friends.

The family wishes to thank all the healthcare workers who accompanied Mr. Otis over the past years for the excellent care provided.
